Compare DREO Humidifier 524 6L and Smart Humidifier 747S on tank size, runtime, and smart features to find your ideal match for bedroom or large room use.
Quick answer
Choose the Smart Humidifier 747S for large rooms up to 700 sq ft with smart controls and longer runtime; pick the Humidifier 524 6L for a budget-friendly, straightforward option in smaller spaces.
Tank size and runtime trade-off
The most immediate difference between these two humidifiers is tank capacity. The Humidifier 524 holds 6 liters, while the Smart Humidifier 747S holds 11 liters. That extra capacity translates directly into runtime—up to 60 hours for the 524 versus up to 100 hours for the 747S. If you want to refill less often, especially overnight or during a work trip, the 747S wins hands down.
However, a larger tank also means a larger footprint. The 747S takes up more floor or table space, so measure your intended spot before buying. The 524 is more compact and easier to move between rooms.
Smart features vs simplicity
The Smart Humidifier 747S includes app and remote control, a 12-hour timer, an aroma box, and RGB lighting. These features let you adjust humidity from your phone, set a schedule, or add a relaxing scent. The Humidifier 524 is a straightforward manual unit—no app, no remote, no extras. You fill it, set the mist level, and let it run.
If you value convenience and integration with your smart home, the 747S is the clear choice. If you prefer a set-and-forget device without another app to manage, the 524 keeps things simple.
Noise and bedroom suitability
Both models are designed for quiet operation, but the 747S is rated at an ultra-low 21 dB, making it nearly silent—ideal for a bedroom where noise can disturb sleep. The 524 doesn’t have a published noise rating, so it may be slightly louder. For a nursery or light sleeper, the 747S offers more peace of mind.
That said, the 524’s 6L tank is still sufficient for a bedroom, and its lower price makes it a practical choice if absolute silence isn’t a priority.
